چکیده
In recent years, the emergence of indigenous literature contextualizes historicity colonialism and ensuing resistance. This present study articulates how Native Hawai’ians articulate their resistance against American domination through resilience cultural heritage advocates for political changes, as is reflected in Lynn Kalama Nakkim’s Mahele o Maui. The applied an econarratological perspective which foregrounds reader's active role reimagining a different socio-cultural natural environment from Mahele’s engaging with other (non-Western) environmental imagination. theory resistance, stated by Adamson Molina, underlines Hawai’ian tradition manages to persevere transform Western model narration, novel. explores fiction epistemology Aloha Aina actively resist eventual goal achieving sovereignty independence. finding concludes Hawai’ians’ has similar concern struggles world, advocative politically oriented outlook, echoing struggle right self-determination sovereignty.
